Who We Are

We are Wasagamack First Nation School, serving the children and families of Wasagamack First Nation in northern Manitoba. Our school is a place where learning, language, and culture come together to prepare our students for bright futures while keeping them connected to their roots.

We provide education from Nursery through Grade 12, following the Manitoba provincial curriculum and ensuring our students graduate with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in higher education, skilled trades, or the workforce. Alongside academics, we integrate Oji-Cree language instruction and cultural learning into daily life.

We are more than a school-we are a gathering place for our community. We host cultural celebrations, seasonal feasts, sporting events, and youth leadership activities that bring together students, families, and Elders. Our school is a place where community spirit is strong, and every achievement is celebrated.

We take pride in being a safe, welcoming, and supportive place for our students to grow academically, socially, and culturally. We are committed to helping each learner develop the confidence, knowledge, and pride in their identity that will carry them forward in life.

Located in the heart of Wasagamack, our school is a gathering place for students from across the community. Our facility includes classrooms for early years, middle years, and senior years students, as well as spaces for cultural programming, sports, and community events. Our location allows us to connect learning with the land and local environment.

Our classrooms are vibrant spaces where students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and take pride in their work. We combine traditional teaching methods with modern learning tools, and we create opportunities for land-based education that connect students to the environment and traditional skills of our people.

Helping Our Students Succeed

We prepare our students for success both in and beyond our community. We take pride in helping them build the skills, confidence, and cultural pride they need to navigate the world while staying connected to who they are. Our school is where learning, culture, and community come together to create a strong future for Wasagamack First Nation.
